Who Am I Kidding?
I'm far too lazy to compile a list of my favorite albums this year. There were lots. Besides, there are way too many end-of-year lists out there anyways. What good would another one do? So instead, here's a random picture from a Stubb's show. Wilco from May of this year. My dumb camera couldn't accurately capture their awesomeness, so all that came out was that blinding ray of light.
Which, now that I think about it, is actually pretty accurate, too.

Music good.

Every year, we blow thousands of dollars buying music, or seeing music. We also save thousands of dollars getting music that our friends have already bought, and ripped and burned for us. So that's pretty awesome, too. And so each year, it's interesting to take stock of which albums meant something to you or actually moved you to feel something. I believe music, like certain foods or smells, has a unique way of taking you to certain times and places in your life. Like a plutonium-powered DeLorean. But with less hilarious outcomes.
That'll be my next posting, I think.
In the meantime, this is my good friend Jason's annual list of his favorite albums. Our tastes are slightly different, but we've got some overlap in what we like. And for the albums we don't agree on, chances are, they're overrated or bad. (I kid, I kid... Jason--he's sorta sensitive)
Go take a look and I'll put mine up shortly.
Why blog?
Blogs are hard to keep up with, if you're not an actual "blogger", which I am not. I just realized I started this one almost 3 years ago. I diligently posted random thoughts and things from the web, nearly every week, in the beginning. But then, like my friend promised, I got bored with it, or got too busy, (or just ran out of things to babble about), and I neglected all these 1's and 0's for months until they got covered in eDust.
But it's 3am, and I'm bored, and so I guess I'm gonna see what other random things I can find online, or ramble about, and start posting things again. No one's actually reading this anyways, but there's something cathartic about the brain dump that a blog can sometimes be.
So let's see what happens.
